Within the scope of its strategy, BASF is banking on the following:



  • World-scale plants: the more a plant produces, the lower the fixed costs per ton of product (economies of scale). This is why BASF operates such cost-efficient large-scale facilities in all growth regions - that is where the customers are.
  • Verbund sites: this is where BASF makes use of intelligently integrated production processes in order to inexpensively manufacture a broad assortment of products, as a result of which it can supply a wide array of sectors on site.
